Detects fires >1 hectare using MODIS/VIIRS. Updates every 3–6 hours when satellite passes.

Limitations:
• Can't detect fires <2.5 acres
• 30–60% false positives from industrial sources
• Smoke may obscure next images

🌾 CropWatch

NDVI analysis from Landsat/Sentinel. 30m resolution. Ideal for fields >5 acres.

Limitations:
• Updates every 5–16 days (weather dependent)
• Cannot identify specific diseases
• Shows trends, not real-time conditions

🚢 MarineWatch

AIS vessel tracking (5–10 min updates). Tracks vessels >300 tons.

Limitations:
• AIS is self-reported (not guaranteed)
• Small vessels often don’t have AIS
• Vessel can turn off AIS
